Registration
You can register online, or download a registration form here and mail it along with your class tuition payment to:
Indiana Writers Center
4011 N Pennsylvania St
Indianapolis, IN 46205
If a class welcomes walk-in registrations, you may bring your registration form with you to the class. We are unable to welcome “walk-ins” for virtual classes.
***Please note, online registration is preferred. Online registration is the quickest and most effective way to ensure that you are signed up! There may be a delay in processing for mailed-in registration forms. Please allow plenty of time in advance to ensure your form is received. Thank you for understanding. To check on the status of a registration email mail@hongjiuchina.com.
Payment
All tuition fees must be paid at the time of registration and before the class start date. Payment methods include MasterCard, VISA, Personal Check, Money Order or cash. A $35 handling fee will be charged for all returned checks. IWC does provide invoicing for individuals who need to divide larger class fees into multiple payments (additional fees apply).
Refund
Please notify our office at least 48 hours prior to the beginning of the class if you are not able to attend a class for which you have registered. Many of our classes reach capacity, so it is crucial to know in time to offer your space to another student. If you comply with the notification process and we are able to fill your spot, we will offer an equivalent credit for a future class. If you absolutely need a refund, we may issue one at the discretion of our Executive Director. If you paid for your class by credit card, it will be necessary to deduct credit card processing fees from your refund. We may not be able to offer any refund if you notify us less than 48 hours before the class is scheduled. Special events may be subject to separate guidelines.
If you are registering for a multi-session workshop, please understand these special guidelines apply:
You must provide a minimum of 7 days notice of cancellation in order to be considered for class credit for the full amount that was paid. We need this additional time to secure a new student to take your place. When you withdraw from a workshop, class credit can *only* be extended if we are able to fill your space.
*If class credit is given, it must be used within 365 days from the time it is issued.
Class Cancellation
A minimum number of registrations are required for each class. If minimum enrollment is not reached before the start of the class, the class will be canceled and all tuition fees will be refunded.
Location
Classes are either held virtually on Zoom or in-person at the Indiana Writers Center located in the Basile Opera Center 4011 N Pennsylvania St Indianapolis, IN 46205. Location is indicated on the class product page. If a class is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email from the Programs Manager (jennifer@hongjiuchina.com) with either the Zoom information or directions and parking information for an in-person class at IWC.
Accessibility
It is an expectation of Indiana Writers Center that all classes and events will be held in accessible facilities. Large print versions of materials will be provided upon request, as will other types of reasonable accommodation.
